What we collect, and what we don’t.

Last updated: 28 September 2026

This page is written to be read, not to be skipped. It says what actually happens to your information when you use this website or talk to us — in the same plain language we use everywhere else.

The short version. Reading this site tells us almost nothing about you. Our own program keeps one count per page per day of how many times it was opened, and that is all: no analytics service, no advertising trackers, and no cookies set by us. The two places we collect anything are the booking form and the free diagnostic quiz, and both ask more than most: alongside your name and email they ask about your role, the size of your business, and what is eating your week, and the quiz asks you to describe the problem in your own words. That is so the free call, or the plan the quiz gives you, is worth your time. We use it to talk to you about work. We do not sell it, rent it, or trade it. The quiz sends its result to an AI service to write the personal part of your plan, and emails you a copy. We publish a monthly newsletter; booking a call does not sign you up for it, and the quiz has a newsletter box you can untick.

Who we are

Breakaway Ops LLC is an AI consulting practice run by Joe Brunner and Fritz Huff, based in Tampa, Florida. We work with clients remotely and in person. When this page says “we,” it means the two of us — there is no third party inside the business.

You can reach us at hello@breakawayops.com or (727) 630-9494.

What this website collects on its own

A daily tally per page, and nothing else. Our own program counts how many times each page was opened each day. That tally is one number per page per day: it holds no internet address, no browser, no id, and nothing that could tell one visitor from another. Beyond it, these pages run no analytics software, set no cookies of their own, embed no advertising or social media trackers, and have no login and no comment box. The one thing on these pages that sends what you type is the chat, described under “When you use the chat” below. Reading this site does not tell us that you were here.

Two ordinary exceptions, both about keeping the site working rather than about you:

To make that anti-abuse work, our booking, quiz and chat programs briefly count how many attempts have come from your internet address. Those counts are held for between one minute and two hours and then delete themselves automatically. They are not attached to your name and are never used for anything but stopping abuse.

What you hand us on purpose

When you book a call

This is the part most worth reading, because the form asks more than a booking form usually does. The booking runs on our own program, not on a third party’s widget. It happens in three steps.

First, five questions about your business. Every one is multiple choice — you never have to type anything:

Second, how to reach you: your name, your business name, your email address, and — optionally — your phone number.

Third, you pick a time from our calendar and we send the invitation.

Why we ask. The call is free and so is the assessment that follows it. The answers let us arrive already knowing roughly what your business is and where the pain is, instead of spending the first half hour finding out. The revenue range in particular tells us whether what we’d recommend is realistic for you. Nobody outside the two of us sees any of it.

Where those answers actually go

  1. They are sent to our own program running on Cloudflare, which is what receives the form. Google is not involved at this point.
  2. When you pick a time, that program creates the appointment in our Google Calendar and writes your answers into the invitation, so whichever of us takes the call has them in front of them. You get a copy of that invitation, including a Google Meet link, at the email address you gave.
  3. A copy of the form is kept in Cloudflare’s storage, so that if you fill in your details and then don’t book, we still know you were interested and can follow up. It deletes itself automatically after two years.

If you arrived from one of our own links, the tag on that link (which email or post it was) is kept with your record, so we know which of our own efforts brought you.

If our booking program is ever down, the page falls back to a Google booking link. If you book that way, Google collects your name and email directly and Google’s privacy policy covers it.

When you request a FREE demo

If you send us a voice memo, a message or files to get a demo, we store them in our private Google Drive and use them only to build your demo and follow up about it. Ask us to delete them at any time at hello@breakawayops.com.

When you take the diagnostic quiz

The quiz, “Where is your business leaking time?”, runs on our own program, the same way the booking form does. It asks twelve multiple-choice questions about your business and the problem you chose, and two written ones: the problem in one sentence, and what happened the last time it went wrong. At the end it asks for your first name, your business email, your business name, and, optionally, your phone number. It shows your plan on screen and emails you a copy.

Here is what happens to those answers:

  1. They are sent to our own program running on Cloudflare, which works out your result from a fixed set of rules and keeps a copy in Cloudflare’s database. That copy deletes itself automatically after two years.
  2. Your answers, including the two written ones, are sent to Anthropic, the company behind the Claude AI model, which writes the personal part of your plan: a few sentences about your situation, your first move adapted to it, and one line on what we would build. It can only draw on a fixed list of things we actually build, and our program checks its answer before you see it. Anthropic processes the text to write that reply; under the business terms we use it on, it is not used to train their models.
  3. A copy of your plan is emailed to you through Resend, the service that sends mail from our domain. That email is a one-time copy of the result you asked for, with no tracking pixel. If you left the newsletter box ticked, it says so and carries an unsubscribe link.
  4. While you take the quiz, our program counts which questions were reached under a random id for that visit, so we can see where people stop. Those counts hold no name, no email, no written answer, and no internet address, and they delete themselves after about a year.

If you arrived from one of our own links, the tag on that link (which email or post it was) is kept with your record, so we know which of our own efforts brought you.

Why we ask. The plan is only useful if it is about your business, and a name and an email are what let us send it and, if you want, follow up. You can do the first move yourself; the free assessment is there if you want help.

When you use one of the free tools

The free tools at breakawayops.com/tools, such as the Missed Call Audit, work out a number from figures you type in. Nothing is stored or sent while you use the calculator. The arithmetic happens in your own browser, and you can close the page having told us nothing.

If you fill in the form under the result, here is what happens:

  1. Your name, business email, business name, phone number if you gave one, and the figures and result on the page are sent to our own program running on Cloudflare and kept in its database. That copy deletes itself after two years.
  2. Both of us are emailed the same details straight away, so one of us can get in touch. When the form offers a free trial, that is what the email is for: a person will contact you within one business day to set it up.
  3. A copy of your number is emailed to you through Resend, the service that sends mail from our domain, with no tracking in it.
  4. Your details are added to our own client pipeline, the tool we use to remember who we have spoken to and what was promised.

No AI model reads what you type into a free tool. If you arrived from one of our own links, the tag on that link is kept with your record, as with the quiz.

When you use the chat

Most pages have a chat bubble in the corner that answers questions about what we do. Here is what happens to what you type in it:

  1. Your message, with the rest of that conversation, is sent to our own program running on Cloudflare, which passes it to Anthropic, the company behind the Claude AI model, to write the reply. Anthropic processes the text to write that reply; under the business terms we use it on, it is not used to train their models.
  2. We do not save your chat. The conversation is kept in your own browser tab, so it follows you from page to page, and it is gone when you close the tab. It is not a cookie.
  3. So that one person or a script cannot run the chat thousands of times, Cloudflare counts messages from your internet address for about a minute, and our program keeps one running total of all chat messages for the day, with nothing about who sent them.
  4. If you choose to leave your name and email in the chat so we can follow up, that request is handled like the booking form: a copy is kept in Cloudflare’s storage and deletes itself after two years, both of us get a notice in our Google Calendar, and your details are added to our own client pipeline.

If you ask for the newsletter

We write a monthly newsletter for small-business owners. Every issue is published openly on this site, in the newsletter archive — reading it there tells us nothing about you, the same as every other page here.

There is also an email edition. There are two ways onto that list: ask us, or leave the box ticked on the quiz or on a free tool’s form. The quiz’s contact form has a newsletter box that is ticked in advance; it says so next to the box, and unticking it means you are not on the list. Booking a call, emailing us, or becoming a client does not put you on it. Either way, we keep your name and email address on a private list in our own business account, and once a month you get the issue, written and sent by one of us from our own mailbox. There are no tracking pixels in it — we cannot see whether you opened it or what you clicked.

To stop getting it, use the unsubscribe link in the quiz’s result email or the free tool’s copy, reply to any issue and say so, or email hello@breakawayops.com. We keep a note that you came off so we never add you back by mistake.

When you email or call

We get whatever you send: your name, your contact details, and whatever you tell us about your business. Our email runs on Google Workspace. Phone calls come through our business line.

During an assessment or a project

If we end up working together, we will see how your business actually runs — your processes, your tools, sometimes your documents and numbers. We treat all of it as confidential. It is used to do your work and for nothing else. It is not used as a public example, and it is never shared with another client without your written permission. Where a written agreement between us says something more specific, the agreement governs.

If we contacted you first

We also do ordinary sales research. That means we keep a list of businesses in our area that we think we could help, with the kind of contact details a business publishes about itself — company name, a contact name, a business phone number, a business email address, an address — and our own notes on whether we’d be a fit.

You may be on that list without ever having heard of us. We are saying so here because you would otherwise have no way to know. Nothing on it comes from this website, none of it is bought from a data broker, and none of it is sold or shared with anyone. If you would rather not be on it, email hello@breakawayops.com and we will take you off it and not contact you again.

What we do with it

That is the entire list. We do not use your information to target advertising, and we do not profile you.

What we never do

Who else touches it

We run on ordinary business software, and those companies necessarily handle information that passes through them. Today there are four, and no others:

They are service providers, not customers. They are not permitted to use your information for their own marketing, and we do not hand your information to anyone else except where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

If you would like us to delete what we hold about you, ask and we will — except for anything we are legally required to keep.

Your choices

You can ask us, at any time, to tell you what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email hello@breakawayops.com. There is no form and no process — a person reads it, and one of us goes and removes it from each of the places listed above. We will not make you regret asking, and asking will not affect how we treat you.

Security

We keep your information in the business accounts described above, protected by the security those platforms provide, by our own passwords and two-step sign-in, and by the anti-abuse checks on the booking form. That is a real safeguard and it is not a guarantee — no company can honestly promise that information on the internet is perfectly safe, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise.

Children

This is a business-to-business service. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Links to other sites

Where this site links somewhere else, that site has its own privacy policy, and this one stops at the edge of ours.

If this page changes

We will update the date at the top. If a change matters — if we start collecting something we do not collect today — we will say so plainly here rather than quietly editing a sentence.
